5th and 6th Grade Rules

1. 2- 18 minute halves. The clock will be stopped for timeouts and foul shots only. Continues on out of bounds
2. 5 minute halftime.
3. 2 time outs per team per half, cannot be carried over to second half.
4. A designated scorer will keep score.
5. There will be a two min. overtime period with one timeout given to each team. If the
Score is tied after two min. then sudden death-first basket wins-Stopped clock in effect
6. Jump ball starts first half. Change of possession will be kept by a scorekeeper.
7. Foul shots (one and one after 8 fouls, 2 shots after 10 fouls, act of shooting 2 shots)
8. You may play game with only 4 Players.
9. Teams may play zone or man to man defense.
10. After a defensive rebound the opposing team must drop back past half court.
11. Each Player receives 6 fouls. After 6 fouls the player is disqualified.
12. All substitutions must report to the scorers table.
13. No stall rule in effect for entire game (referee decision)
14. 3 point shots after 2 minutes left in game.
15. Full court press after 1 minute left in game (unless leading by 10 or more)
